Charles Olden Quinn
Charles Olden Quinn, 82, of Manila, widower of Nola Davidson Quinn, passed from this life Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. Born at Fulton, Miss., he was the son of the late Alger and Willie Lowery Quinn and had been a Manila resident most of his life. He had worked many years as a trapper, as well as a seasonal fruit harvester traveling to Michigan to harvest apples. He later worked for the Manila School District as a bus driver and as the caretaker of the Manila Cemetery. Charles enjoyed working in his yard and garden, visiting with his friends at the coffee shop, fishing, running trotlines and trapping. Charles was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Manila. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Billy Quinn, Gene Quinn, Marshall Quinn, Allen Quinn and Jimmy Quinn; and two sisters, Ollie McKee and Joyce Justice.
Survivors include three sons, Crandle Quinn, Mark Quinn (Earlene) and "Eddie" Don Quinn (Rachael) all of Cabot; his daughter, Veronica Gail Hayes (Keith) of Jacksonville. He also leaves 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the Howard Funeral Service chapel in Manila. In compliance with state guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance will be limited and social distancing and facemasks will be required while in the building. All other services are private.
