Dewey Edward Walker, Jr.

Dewey Edward Walker, Jr. of Blytheville, was born Sept. 16, 1950, in Leland, Miss., to the late Dewey Walker, Sr. and the late Margie Fortner Pay. He was a musician, a handyman and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Walker passed away Sept. 13, 2020, at River Oaks Nursing Center in Steele, Mo., at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Walker, Sr.; his mother, Margie Fortner Pay; his first wife, Cynthia Walker; one daughter, Baby Walker; one brother, Kenneth Pay; and one sister, Carol Scroggins.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Taylor Walker of West Lake, La.; his son, Skip Walker of Blytheville; one daughter, Beth (Matthew) Tumblin of Kennesaw, Ga.; two brothers, Grover (Brenda) Pay of Jonesboro and David Lee (Kathy) Pay of Des Arc; one sister, Katy Walker of Springtown, Texas; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and his caregiver and lifetime friend, Jane Walker of Steele, Mo.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with Pastor Gary Hyde officiating. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
