Manila Depot Museum and Manila Community Garden hosted the first Homegrown Homemade Market in Manila on Thursday evening. The outdoor market, held in front of the Manila Depot Center, featured homegrown and homemade food and craft items. Manila Depot Museum and Manila Community Garden hosted the first Homegrown Homemade Market in Manila on Thursday evening.

The outdoor market, held in front of the Manila Depot Center, featured homegrown and homemade food and craft items.

Several vendors had homemade jellies, jams, lemonade, cupcakes, a variety of crafts including woodwork (signs), tee shirts and more.

Friends Jax Gist, 8, and Reese Jackson, 6, had lemonade for St. Jude. This is the second year for the young friends to sell lemonade for St. Jude.

High school members of the FFA Oscar Aguilar and Kolton Stokes, members of the livestock show team, had their Arkansas Red goats for visitors to pet. Oscar's goat, Cocoa, has been shown twice and placed fourth both times. Kolton's's goat, Budreaux (also called Berry), placed third in one of his two competitions. They will compete again on Sept. 9 and then on to the state fair.

Other vendors included Tracey's Treats, Isaac's Muscadine jelly (raising money for the museum), Crafts by Cindy, Kanned by Karan (Arkansas Made), Flatland Boutique, and Sills Studio.
