Fronia Ann Hatley VanDyke
Fronia Ann Hatley VanDyke was called home to be with her Lord July 19, 2018 at Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville.
Fronia was born January 13, 1932 to AJ and Emma Hatley in the Number Nine Community where she was raised. She was a member of Number Nine Baptist Church where she was baptized as a teenager and attended and worked faithfully in the church. Later in life, she moved her membership to New Liberty Baptist Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Blytheville High School. Fronia was a sweet, loving mother who loved her children very much and any time they needed her, she was there.
Years ago, she was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone before it closed in Blytheville. She was also employed at Norgevillage Laundry Mat for 30 years until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lilbourn VanDyke, who passed away in 1980; her sweet daughter, Sherry Hogan Moore; two sons, Markus Anthony VanDyke and David Randal VanDyke; her infant son, Terry; grandsons, Roger Eugene VanDyke and Marcus VanDyke; and several brothers and sisters.
Fronia leaves her sons, Roger D. VanDyke (Beverly) of Blytheville, Chris A. VanDyke (Sabra) of Blytheville and Jerry VanDyke (Karen) of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her special grandson, Brian Scott Hogan; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
