David Wayne Vann

David Wayne Vann of Blytheville was born on November 20, 1938 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to the late Jesse Vann and the late Sophia Clements Vann. He was an aviation firefighter for more than 30 years and attended Carter Temple CME Church. He was also an avid sports fan who loved to travel with his wife. Mr. Vann passed away on July 15, 2018 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Vann, one daughter Paquita Reed Johnson, two brothers Jessie Vann and Joe Vann, two sisters Pearlie Mae Landrum and Anna Loren Lee. He is survived by three grandchildren D’Antquonese Jeffrey of Blytheville, Teauna Reed of Plano, Texas and George (Jackie) Reed of Cisco, Texas, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The visitation will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with Rev. Jeff Flanigan officiating. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.
