Another attempt at aggravated robbery was made at Gary's Food Mart on West Moultrie this week. Monday morning, two unidentified black males entered the store, one carrying a gun, demanding money from employees.

An employee attempted to fight off the offenders, refusing to open the safe. According to the police report, the store employee struggled with one of the offenders, hitting him on the head with a beer bottle before both of the suspects fled the scene.

Hair and fingerprint evidence were located by officers who responded to the scene, but the suspects are as yet unidentified.

Gary Wren, owner of the convenience store, said that he does not know what else to do to stop the continuous stream of robberies at this location.

"We're putting in all the cameras we can put in," he said, "we need more police patrolling over there, that's all I can say. I've put extra people there at night, but it doesn't seem to make any difference."
