Riverside's bid to end Marmaduke's unbeaten streak in conference play fell short as the Lady Greyhounds pulled out a 10-7 win over the Lady Rebels Thursday afternoon at Caraway in 2A-3 conference softball action.

Kelley Lewis (15-3) pitched a complete game to earn the victory and also helped her own cause, drilling a two-run homer while driving in four runs as Marmaduke improved to 17-3 overall and finished the regular season with a perfect 14-0 league mark. It was the first ever conference softball championship for the Lady Greyhounds, who will enter the District Tournament at Black Rock as the number one seed.

Anna Best, Bree Upchurch, Rachel Vangilder and Lewis all had two hits apiece, while Julie Finley also added a hit.

Riverside (14-4, 13-3 2A-3) was led at the plate by Kenzley Wilson, who went 3-4 with an RBI. Kyley Campbell was 2-4 at the plate with an RBI for the Lady Rebels.

Riverside will open District Tournament play as the number two seed Monday afternoon at 5:30.
