Harold Walker

Harold A. Walker, 82, of Paragould, died Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born at Blytheville, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Dora Kent Walker and had been a Paragould resident for the past 24 years. Mr. Walker was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a former Flushing, Mich., resident where he retired from General Motors Corp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Landrum Walker of the home; two sons, Jim Walker of Marietta, Ga., and Glenn Walker of Flushing, Mich.; a daughter, Barb Walker Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Jack Walker of Manila; a sister, Virginia Harmon of Ft. Smith; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Michael Harmon and Aaron Walker officiating. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.howardfuneralservice.com.
