Leachville School Reunion

The Leachville School Reunion is held every five years. It was held on Saturday, Sept. 4 with an all day celebration. Several photos were sumbitted to the Town Crier by Barbara Lloyd.

Leachville Alumni gathered in the school cafeteria on Saturday afternoon.

Many former Leachville classmates visited the new Veterans Park for the first time.

David Fletcher was guest speaker and Terry Parnell was the emcee for the morning gathering at the Veterans Park.

A flag raising ceremony kicked off the reunion day.

Scott Adams, chairman of the Buffalo Island Veterans Park in Leachville welcomed guests and gave a history on how the park became a reality.

Members of the 1960 State basketball championship team attended the Leachville Reunion and was recognized by Ronnie Kennett, emcee.

Former Leachville Cheerleaders showed they still have the school spirit as they gathered in the Leachville gymnasium.

Clay Turner sang the National Anthem at the Veterans Park in the morning and entertained at the Melody for the evening show.

Entertainers joined their talent on the Variety Show at the Melody Theater.

Gary Buck, Class of 1963 talked about the old radio stations that were so popular.

Everyone enjoyed the talent and being back home in Leachville.

Lisa Price, Class of 1984, sang Me and Bobby Magee.

Talent was abundant at the Melody at the Leachville Reunion as each class was represented in song or dance.

Sharing in song were former Leachville classmates.

The Melody Theater in Leachville was filled downstairs and in the balcony as former Leachville classmates gathered for the 2010 reunion.

The Buffalo Island Veterans Park Committee members, guest speakers, singers, and Leachville Mayor were on hand at the kick off for the all day Leachville Reunion.

Leachville singers and musicians returned home for the reunion.
