Highlighting Black Resistance through Word and Songs

Geneva Aldridge Harris presented her play "Highlighting Black Resistance through Words and Songs" on Sunday at the Ritz Civic Center as part of the Juneteenth celebration which continues this week. Harris said her work provides a thought-provoking message that challenges all to rise and recognize their God-given talents as tools to improve humanity. She also believes that her writing provides an opportunity to remember the past struggles of our ancestors as motivation to keep rising.
