Riverside East and Jr. High Diabetes Walk

Riverside East Elementary and Junior High School participated in an American Diabetes Association's School Walk for Diabetes. The young people raised over $2,000. Their principals agreed to kiss a pig if they raised over $1,000. The students enjoyed watching them kiss the pig at the end of the walk.

A promise is a promise and Riverside East elementary principal Patty Hernandez, kissed the pig with her students cheering her on. Mrs. Hernandez told her students she would kiss the pig if they raised $1,000 at the Diabetes Walk.
