Polar Plunge

Local residents of all ages participated in the first ever Polar Plunge in Blytheville held to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics in Arkansas. Near freezing temperatures and 15 miles an hour winds made the event especially daring. Participants were required be at least 12-years old and raise a minimum of $50 per person. Plungers from Mississippi County raised $4,130.
