Caraway July 4th celebration

Caraway First Baptist Church pastor and city treasurer/recorder, Rick Stevens, said a prayer blessing the event.

Local veterans stood in front of the bandstand to be recognized while Rebecca Stull sang the "Star Spangled Banner."

Kyli Bushong,9 of Caraway, won the kids watermelon eating contest. Her prize was $10.

Andrew Roberson won $10 when he finished first in the first round of the adult watermelon eating contest.

Traci Calhoun won the second round of the adult division of the watermelon eating contest. She took home $10 for her win.
