Pink Night at Monette Ballpark

Chairman for the Buffalo Island Relay for Life Brenda Matheny (left) and Umpire Matt Rolland (right), kick off Pink Night at the Monette Ball Park with young men who volunteered to help with the night wearing their Striking Out Cancer tee-shirts. The night raised over $700 to be donated for Relay for Life.

Joining the host teams were the visitors who also lined up for the first pitch by local cancer survivors.

Lela Adams Ashley, who is undergoing treatments for breast cancer, threw out the first pitch for her daughter's 8 and under softball game who caught the picture. Her younger daughter helped with the pitch.
